Warriors of Dunland with Bows

Had a surprise day off from work last week Wednesday, and what better way to spend it than painting done miniatures? I was able to finish off my archer dunlendings, which was nice. Now what to work on next?

For comparison, here are three of my Dunlending warriors I painted several years ago. I tried to follow roughly the same color scheme, or at least use elements of it in my newest Dunlendings to tie them together.

The paint scheme is roughly as follows: Dwarf Flesh with an Ogryn Flesh wash on the skin (was hoping the Ogryn Flesh would give a more tanned/weathered appearence). The bases are Stirland Mud with Bestial Brown highlights. The cloth cloaks are Mechrite Red, the hide cloaks are Adeptus Battlegrey /w Space Wolves Grey highlights, Scorched Brown /w Bestial Brown highlights, and Snakebite Leather /w (I think) Vomit Brown highlights. The small hide patch on the pants of three of the archers use the same colors as the cloaks. The boots/shoes are Bestial Brown, with the wrappings around the legs are Scorched Brown. The quivers are Vermin Brown, and most of the belts are Bestial Brown. The scale armor is Boltgun Metal, Dwarf Bronze, and Tin Bitz. The metal rings on the other archers are the same colors as the scale armor. The helmets are Boltgun Metal. The bows are Snakebite Leather, and the bracers on the armoured archers are Vermin Brown, while the other archers have Komando Khaki wrappings. The undershirts of the armored archers are Vermin Brown, while the tunics on the unarmored archers are also Vermin Brown. Finally almost the whole model received a wash of Badab Black.

I think they turned out fairly well, and it is nice to have them all finally painted. Now I just have my two banner dunlendings and one chieftain that need painting and my dunlendings will be completely finished. Hope you enjoy :)
